While at the safe-mode desktop, I opened the installer usb and launched the beta 8 install app. My M1 Mac mini has only my monitor, external drive with beta 7, and installer usb connected, so only the minimal peripherals plugged in. So then I decided to boot into beta 7 using safe-mode (this macOS installation is on an external ssd drive, by the way). I attempted to launch the drive’s install app within beta 7 but all that happened was that I got the dock icon for the installer bouncing endlessly – long enough that I gave up. I have I created a beta 8 usb installer without problems. Sharing my thoughts….I have pretty good success at troubleshooting issues, so here goes. appreciate your guidance and suggestion here to help on this situation? probably should I revert back to the big sur 11.6.1 and wait for next Monterey update release before I try to upgrade again. there are a lot of people complained about the Monterey with wifi, I followed their procedure to reset or delete the entry, it is still not able to fix it. you will see the wifi keep try to scan but it did not show any network. only the Monterey 12.0.1 fail to work with wifi. I changed back to the original big sur hd or use fresh install the big sur on different ssd, I verified that the wifi is indeed working fine in the big sur in my old macbook pro with wireless router hardware. It shows the wifi keep trying to scan, but it never return any available network. both situations are showing the wifi does not working. I tried the Monterey oclp with Installing the 12.0.1 with upgrade from big sur and also tried with fresh install in different hard drive. Hi team, I have an old macbookpro 2009 5.3.
